Any local interest to get this flash done? I emailed them and they indicated they need a minimum of 6 to set a date with a local dealer.

Thumbs up

6) I'm also down for getting the stage 2 done locally, BOOM* I'm actually on the NJ list already but would give up my spot to get it done locally instead! We have several great BMW shops with dyno's in MD & NoVA to get this done too👍 Let's get the DMV on board!

I don't have a date yet. I first need to quantify enough interest in our region. After we have a comfortable number (just in case people cancel) I'll see what type of dates they can meet.

For the guys that want DPs. You certain this tune will put the O2 sensors in a ready state so during emissions testing via OBD port, the car will pass? I know VF indicates it will turn off the CEL but I do not recall seeing anything about putting the O2 in a read ready state. Correct me if I'm wrong here.

Not a bad deal ,, I am definitely interested for stage one as i don't have any hardware mod. but I am thinking of putting intake and exhaust in short time and want to know if it'll have any side effect afterward ?

I'd like to hear real world inspection results. Either pass or fail.

Hence why I'm considering high-flow catted DPs. But then I read, CEL is still a possibility with those as well.
:/

I might pay for Stg2 and but have Stg1 loaded for now.

Potentially interested but there really should be something optimized for 93 fuel even though the power bump may be negligible.

But I'm pretty happy with my JB4 for now.

EALm4 have you dyno'ed your car on map 2 yet? There's a lot of talk that the 91oct Hex stage 1 is faster than JB4 on 93oct but solely based on the dyno numbers we've seen in the past I don't see it... ?

Nope not yet. Just been lazy about it. Their Stage 1 more power than JB4 on map 2? I dont believe it. I'm not interested in seeing any of their dynos performed on 91oct. The rest of the real world uses 93 lol - while probably negligible I'm not going to thumb through all their data and make some assumption. I need to see the proof.

I'm totally open to running the stage 2 and I wish there was a stage 2.5 that was purely optimized for 93 and not 100.

That didn't sit well with me... now I need to see more stage 2 and stage 2+ dyno's without Bullshit 91oct piss fuel in it

I may be interested as well, is Stage 2 1295$ or 1295$ + stage1?

Anyone know how it compares to JB4 Stage 2 and Stage 2 on this?

In addition, does it have features like datalogging, cel delete, and mobile app to revert to stock like JB4 Map 0?

Stage TWO is $1,295 total.
Stage ONE is not required if you have the proper exhaust and down pipe combination for Stage TWO.

Furthermore, if you currently own Stage ONE and want to upgrade to Stage TWO, you only pay the difference in MSRP plus a $100 upgrade fee. You will not need to pay full price for each Stage Level individually.

For comparisons, we don't participate in that conversation as we feel that the consumers should be the ones making the decision by educating themselves.

There's a subjective nature to the idea of "better" so it ultimately comes down to what you are trying to accomplish.

Here is a good read from a customer who has had both: http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1263572
I'm sure there are equally informative posts for why people chose JB4 and are happy with their decisions as well.

As far as features like data-logging and the ability to clear codes, we do not provide those as they are not necessary with our product. The ability for end users to clear codes without diagnosing or resolving a problem is counter intuitive. Data-logging would only be useful if you were trying to diagnose a problem, or had the ability to make settings or map changes and wanted to monitor the effects.

Would you count MPE as a proper exhaust? I am currently running Catless Downpipes as well so that should be good.

If the dealers do an update, I'll lose the tune, this will require me to send you my DME overnight correct?

Either way, I'll keep an eye out. Definitely interested at some point.

MPE counts as a proper exhaust!

If the dealers do an update, yes it will overwrite the tune.
It's best to let your service writer know that you are tuned, and ask them not to perform the update. In the event that the update is significant enough that it's highly desired or required, we can reinstate your tune, either by sending it to us in California, or by going to a Certified Installer in your area.
(by that time it is highly likely that we will have more certified installers set up around the country to handle the flashing on-site)

I thought you were running DPs? I'll eventually get it dynoed but based on what was just posted my interest has dropped significantly. I like the ability to datalog, clear codes, turn of asd and all the minor features of the JB4. Plus the fact that a dealer update will overwrite the tune is a complete turn off. I guess that means I'll have to take it to a shop, pay labor to have the DME removed, pay $50 to overnight it or (assuming) pay the shop to reflash?? That's a waste of money and time. Then I have to inform my SA I'm running a tune? What if my SA wasnt cool and notified the manager and my warranty was voided too? At least with the JB4 I can remove it if something major happens and not worry about having to reflash anything.

The problem is with being first to market with this type of stuff is that people initially jump on it and then realize it's not what they were looking for. Not to mention all the fascination with GTS burbbling and shit like that.

Ideally I'd like to see something like the COBB Accessport down the road. The JB4 with the connect are similar but it'd be nice not have to hook up all that shit to various sensors. Not sure if that is even possible though.
