Thumbs up June 2, YMB F80 PCD

Folks, just picked up my long awaited YMB M3 last week via PCD. Taking the opportunity to introduce myself. I have had several 335s and this my first M3. Would like to thank everyone here for their tremendous contribution. Plenty of invaluable information here. Much respect for you all.

Initially I was trying to line up the PCD with a 1 or 2 day off-road motorcycle clinic but the dates didn't pan out. I will certainly be back for both motorcycle and the M school.

Arrived Greenville Marriot on Thursday June 2nd evening and did the whole PCD experience Friday. Even with all the anticipation and build up it still exceeded my expectations above and beyond. Well organized sublime experience.

They released us around 3pm and we decided to do the suggested route driving towards Ceasar's Head which was spectacular by the way then Pisgah Forest and ultimately ended up in Asheville just in time before New Belgium Brewery closing time. From there on we also went to Sierra Nevada Brewery and several other micros downtown Asheville. We stayed overnight in Asheville.

The next day took the Blue Ridge Parkway from Asheville all the way up to Front Royal. We started driving around 8am and we were able to arrive Front Royal by 3:30pm Then took highway 81 up to 78 plowing through thunderstorms returning back to North NJ. We arrived right at 10pm.

Break-in service taken care of yesterday

Sharing some shots from the trip.

Congrats on the new car. PCD looks like a fun experience.

Did you happen to stop by Charlie's BBQ and get anything for the ride back?

Thank you! Always looking for excuses even in torrential rain, it's ridiculous how different it is from a 335!

Thank you! I will certainly be back there, stellar roads nearby. I wasn't able to stop by Charlie's as we were in a time crunch to do all the winding roads and hairpin turns by Ceasar's head and Pisgah then still make it to breweries before they close.

We were there the day before.

http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1270318

We also stayed in Asheville, and we took 81 all the way up to Binghamton, then 88 to Albany. We hit all that rain in PA as well. Fog too.

Nice car, break in on the way home is the way to go for sure.
