Finally drove her home today.
Competition package M-DCT Mineral Gray / Shakir Orange Executive package Driver's assistance Plus Only 1 blemish on the rear bumper, appears someone tapped it so dealer wrote it up for repair. Here's a few pics from my Galaxy 7. |

First Driving Impressions
So this replaces the '13 335is M-DCT I had so I'm fairly familiar with the iDrive and controls.
SUSPENSION I honestly expected something harsh and jarring considering the ZCP package yet in Comfort mode this car is awesome. Great dampening all around so the car doesn't bounce and jump over rough pavement. I live on Long Island NY so potholes, road crowns are an everyday occurence. In Sport mode, it's even better without sacrificing anything. Of course Sport + was sort of what I expected. STEERING/HANDLING I really like the feel compared to my old 335is. Turn in is crisp and sharp with better feedback imo. The most amazing thing I need to get accustomed to us the lack of roll - this car just flat out corners. More to come.... POWER While still in the break-in period and keeping the RPMs under 5k, I have push into the throttle a little. Power in 2nd gear (Sport+ all around) through 4th is wicked. While the 335is "got wings" this M3 goes "afterburner". It pushes me into the seat and you know that grin that comes with it. The one where you know you've got the real thing. LOOKS I always like the shape and look of the M3 but the F8x (M3 & M4) is a beauty to me. It's well sculpted with a character and form. The lines flow from front to rear and I can't seem to find an angle where I'm even less excited about it. While some here have lambasted the rims, I love them. They were a key factor in my decision to get it. If anything I would love to treat them like the GTS (painted inside like a dark gray or even matte black leaving the outer spokes as they are). I have to see that in a photoshop'd image though... I'm also quite happy with the details -- the contrasting stitching on the doors for instance. A nice touch. The stitching on the seat belts which also carry over to the steering wheel. Another nice touch. I guess when an iconic vehicle such as the M3 gets to this stage in it's life, it's been refined and tweaked to the Nth degree. Not taking anything away from previous iterations, in fact today's version wouldn't be the car it is if it weren't for those previous ones. So hats off to BMW for a wonderful car. I'm going to enjoy every mile in this one! Last edited by OutlawX3M; 07-01-2016 at 03:47 PM.. Reason: additional info |

Wow congrats on the great new ride...I too used to own a 335is and now have ordered a 2017 M3. Mine is similar in spec to yours (MG, ZCP, DCT) but I am taking a leap and going carbon structure cloth. Enjoy!!!

Congratulations on the build and delivery. Beautiful car. I have one very similar (MG/SO, ZCP) on a boat returning from my Euro-Delivery right now. This just reminded me of how much I miss Eleanor.
There is only one thing I want with the ZCP. I really want to bring the front-end down about 0.75" - 1". The comfort caught me entirely off guard as well. Such an improvement in ride quality over my Dinan suspension 435i.
