M4 completely totalled in Montreal
According to the article, the driver walked away with only minor injuries.
It's just amazing how technology can save a life in this type of collision... Drive safe people. Edit: Truck blew a red light at the intersection, M4 had right of way. Last edited by Montreal M2; 07-07-2016 at 08:04 PM.. |

The way the roof is bent but intact is very curious. I've seen plenty of failed carbon fiber and it never looked like that. Failures I've seen are clean fractures and messy shatters. I suppose that's a good thing in this application. Wonder what they've done. Something with the weave, or resin, or layers, or all?

If it did rolled, I got to say, design and manufacturing was spot on to support the hit. Be interested to see the other vehicle involved. |

Woah!
That looks bad. Looks like if there was a passenger in the car they would have had serious if not fatal injuries. Glad to hear the driver walked away. I'd like to see the full article on this

Those that shatters are parts made with fibreglass with cf overlay. The cf roof and parts produced by BMW is pure cf. |

Glad driver is ok. Usually when car rolls over you see marks on the side also, I dont see in this car. Still cant say it didnt. Damage can be from something that hit the car - the truck or pole or something else. Can only guess .
