S65 and methanol injection
I think people - very few - have been doing methanol injection with S65 engine since 2012 with the Procede kit. Now that methanol injection is mainstream and even the M4 GTS comes with it from factory, I'd like to find out everyone's thoughts about doing it for the S65. I'd especially like to hear from the E9x M3 owners who were doing it 3-4 years ago. How have those cars carried on since then.
Thanks. |

M4 comes with water injection not methanol though they cannot prevent you from mixing some in.
I have been running a Vishnu Procede with 70/30 meth/water for 3-4 years, which for me is 24-32k miles. No issues. I have had the air filter housing off and the intake manifold off and noticed no issues. |

I had the Proceed kit since mid 2011 on my supercharged setup no issues as of yet.
Sent one kit to Shanghai last month so yes I still recommend it. BTW, kit has been out of production for almost 2 years |

I am NA and my car is a street car. How much you use depends on your nozzles. I have two 1mm nozzles, which is probably 20% to fuel injected, and starts at around 40% fuel njector duty cycle and follows duty cycle to ramp up flow. I use about 1 gallon every 3 tanks of gas. If I tracked my car, it might be 2 gallons in one tank of gas. Just guessing. I could probably do some math to estimate but you are best off finding someone who is tracking.

Its about like having a 100 octane tune. 10 rwhp over 93 on a NA car? Might allow 1 more psi on an SC car or 20 rwhp?
Less performance drop in hot weather. |

In my case if memory correct, gained 30 RWHP with just meth flowing alone. For $1600 back in the day, totally worth it to me.
Add in a few degrees of timing up top, peaked to about 80. Not streetable power way up in the upper rev range but it was what it was.... |

The parts in the meth kit are Aquamist supplied by Jeff at Howerton Engineering. He can help you out, used him several times. Also possible to use a Aquamist kit to the Procede |

Been using Alchy Meth system in conjunction with my Gintani kit and absolutely love it. running 100% meth for a couple of months now not a single issue what so ever, car runs cooler & pulls extremely hard once meth starts to spray.
