Are you the former owner of the Fire Orange M4 @ New Country BMW?

Hey guys is the person who owned the Fire Orange M4 in Hartford on here? The person apparently traded in the M4 to get ready for the arrival of his GTS. if you are here can you PM me? I have a few questions about the car...its awesome by the way if you are here!!

Are these just general questions or questions the only the previous owner know? If general, plenty of people here can help

Also not certain why the post got moved here being that it is a CT car but no biggie. The info isn't crucial but just a nice to know kind of a deal.

Because they think its worth that much....i don't think that so I am trying to see what type of deal i can get. They are using the rare individual paint, bunch of carbon fiber goodies and whatnot to crank up the price. If I can get the right deal then cool...if not its on to the next one!

they may be hyping the orange up but i'd bet you they would rather have a traditional color. its rare cause its a "look at me color". nothing wrong with it but many people would pass. I actually like it, but i wouldn't own it. car should cost less because of color.

what are you trying to find out from previous owner?

Agreed. I love the color but I have to think potential resale. Granted SO aint much better but I believe a bit less inconspicuous than fire orange.

Not knocking the OP or anything at all. Hope you get a good deal on it

I totally agree with you guys for sure which is why I have a firm number in my head that I won't waiver from. I love the color and resale is a minor concern but not a huge one for me. I had a bright orange Jeep and sold that pretty easy. I like fun colors on fun cars and this qualifies as a fun car for me!!

I am just trying to get an idea of how the car may have been used and even how bad they beat him up on trade in value. I like to have as much info as possible and if I was hoping to use the forum to find it. Again no big deal but worth a shot. Should know by tomorrow if I am heading to CT this weekend for pickup.

when you check the car out i think there is a way to look at lifetime MPG. It would give you a pretty good indication of how its been driven.

the ad says the seller bought a GTS so i doubt the trade in number really matters. They may have given him 75k for trade but charged a 20k markup on GTS or maybe they gave him 55k trade and discounted GTS 10k off msrp. One thing you can bet on is that they didnt give him extra for individual paint or any accessories.

The color is fire. Its also awesome they didnt drill front bumper.

Good point on the lifetime MPG.I will do some digging on how to pull that up. I am sure it was a shell game with the numbers so all that really matters is if they hit the target i set. If so I will be happy and in all my years of buying and selling cars the best deal is one you can smile about every time you see the car. Should hear from them tomorrow hopefully and will either be heading north Saturday morning or playing golf! Either way it will be a good day

Don't normally think resale value when I buy a car, but I can live with this. When its time to trade up, everyone wants to get the best deal.

Deal didn't happen. Got sort of close but not really on the car. The Used Car mgr told me the VP of the dealership bought the car and he said he has more than $65k in it which i think is too much. $65k was my max number to make it feel like a fair deal. The color limits the buying pool, not being certified at all, no maintenance, and they think the accessories add a bunch of value. Maybe they will call me in a few weeks if its still sitting there but I am likely going new at this point with the special finance rates and $1500 in credit they put on them.

Found a new car that fits my specs in Yas Blue but its in California so I will have to figure out transport costs.
