Fault Codes 2789 & 279A
Can anyone provide any insight on what the problems might be? There's no issues with the car as it drives fine and doesn't have any odd symptoms. I found these codes while trying to reset the service notice with the Carly App
002789 - Bad Way Detection 00279A - Demolition at UMA-repeat learning. This one sounds concerning... |

Hey man send Carly your session log file directly out the app, they will provide you with informations regarding your codes. Remember they offer an life time free diagnose and car issue tracking help by certified mechanics and engineers.
Looks like you forgot about that neat in-app feature |

These are cat efficiency faults from being Catless or having high flow cats. A tune is the proper way to resolve this.
First one is Cat Efficiency Bank 1. (P0420 - 2789) Second is Bank 2. (P0430 - 278A)

Then I will check to see what that could be. How many miles on the car? I would clear faults first and see if either of them return.

Yes that's not a typo. The other codes went away. I just have this one that comes back.

Update: Oil levelling sensor was smashed. I hit a rock and it totally smashed the sensor. replaced and all is good. Not sure why I had those o2 sensor codes though.
On a side note: the Carly App descriptions of the codes dont seem to describe the issue that clearly. IE ambient air temp and bad way detection for the o2 sensor codes doesn't really help. Mike was extremely helpful in finding what the issue was. |
