Maryland Car Meets
Quote:
And moving this here, so I can stop hijacking the other thread. This Thursday in Laurel is the bi-weekly Buffalo Wild Wings meet on top of a parking deck at the Laurel Town Center. Recently, the turnout has been ridiculous, like 300+ cars. A mixture of everything, many heavily modded, some even tastefully. haha... For high-end and rare cars (Ferraris, Porsches and Lambos and the like), you'll want to go to the weekly Saturday Cars & Coffee meet at Hunt Valley Mall from about 7am to 1030am. The weekly Sunday morning meet in Annapolis pales in comparison, but the Annapolis meet is far more intimate. The most popular Cars & Coffee meet in the area with the highest end cars (on average) is Katie's C&C in Great Falls, VA, every Saturday. Pound for pound, you'll see some of the best cars in the DMV, and quite a few of them too...and a lot of rare stuff too. I've seen people trailer there cars to that meet, roll them off the trailer, stay for 2 hours, and drive their cars back into the trailer and take their prize possession home, accruing .5 miles on the ODO in the process. LOL Yeah, it's that kind of meet. The downside, it's far away for most of us (an hour or so plus), AND it's early. It's like 7am - 9am. By 10am, most people are gone. And by 7am, the place is almost full. This keeps a certain element away, and you gotta be a diehard enthusiast to be up that early and going to a meet. The weekly Wednesday night meet in Crofton at the Nautilus Diner isn't anything special, but if you're in the mood for a local car meet during the week, it ain't bad. And if nothing else, it is consistent. People always show up. More soon.... Last edited by KevinGS; 09-05-2016 at 09:03 AM.. |

This one's tonight in Bowie, MD, a bi-weekly Monday meet that I think has grown to be pretty big. If I get my work done in time, I'll stop through here (I've never been to this one, yet it's only about 15 minutes from me in Crofton).
With the weather fantastic, turnout will likely be good. https://www.facebook.com/events/8941...tive_tab=posts |

I go fairly often to the Hunt Valley Horsepower. It's always a good showing, for all makes and models. |

Nice to meet you today, can't wait to code your LEDs.
And I'll have a Coding class later this fall, so everyone knows how to do it. Before then, everyone just make sure you get the cable (it's like $20). And then I will literally spend some time showing you all collectively how to do it (because if I can do it, you can too ). Mike, your exempt from the fall training session, I'll show you when you get back instead. But we'll catch up before you leave. |
