Expert advice on exhaust adjustments

Guys,

I installed a Corsa exhaust and can't figure out how to make the adjustments to have the exhaust sit right. I've attached pics to all the points of adjustment, but can't seem to move them. I tried loosing the clamps from the exhaust to the connecting pipes, but no luck. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Loosen up your connecting pipes a little so that they are pressure fit but can still be manipulated. You may need to twist those around a tad to get it to sit properly.

did you get everything on fully tight? if those pics are just from the mock-up, there might be a bolt or two that aren't aligned right or not in the hole. if the side brackets (behind the rear wheels) aren't both fully seated, i can see this being the cause of the issue.
i'm no expert, but i've swapped exhausts a few times.

Thanks. Everything is on tight since I've swapped a couple as well. I think it might be the connecting pipes, but they were really difficult to move.

Try spraying some lube (huehuehue) so they're easier to move.

well, that was my initial thought. have you tried loosening everything just to see if you can position the exhaust evenly? if you can't get it where you want it loose, i can't see it happening when its tight.
maybe one of your side hangers is reversed? i think mine might be slightly directional or may have worn biased towards a certain direction.

I think that's what I'll have to do is loosen everything. I think the side hangers are correct, but will definitely check them again. Thanks.

The CNT Racing exhaust you sold to me in the classifieds does not fit correctly either.

This post tells me that you lied straight to my face when you told me the reason you were selling it was that you have an autistic kid and when you went from stock to the CNT the change in sound drove him crazy so you had to get rid of it. It takes a special kind of person to use a handicap kid as part of a lie(if you even have an autistic kid)!

From looking at the picture it seems like the car gods are on my side and will hopefully continue to curse your car with issues like this.

When I installed my exhaust, i found that the top middle hanger bent some when removing the stock exhaust. I was able to bend it back by hand, but in one of those pictures it looks like it may be a little out of line.

Dude, first of all, the CNT exhaust fit perfectly on my car. I had no issues with fitment. The reason I did sell it was that it was too loud and it bothered my son. How is that a lie? The Corsa exhaust isn't that loud and doesn't have any drone. Have you heard the Corsa exhaust? Apparently not. I'm an active, respected part of this community here with stellar feedback. I have no idea why you think I lied to you. The CNT exhaust was on my car for about 100 miles and you paid $300 for it. You also failed to mention to everyone that I drove an hour and half each way so it was easier for YOU to buy the exhaust.

Also, why don't you ask the guy that I bought the Corsa from what I did for him. I drove all the way to Raleigh with a 2 ton jack, jack stands and all my tools in my car. I took off my OEM exhaust, put it on his e93 and then installed the Corsa on my car. I did this so he wouldn't have to pay a shop $300 to remove his exhaust. How many people would have done that? Don't come on here and try to give me a bad name.

All I know is that fitment is off on my car. I installed it in my shop with the help of two ASE certified techs and the car on a hydraulic lift. We tinkered with it for a while trying to get it to line up properly. As I noted in my review, I am still happy with the exhaust and the deal I got. You meeting me halfway, while much appreciated, has nothing to do with this.

You have to understand that when I see that you bought/installed another aftermarket exhaust less than two weeks after you sold your CNT to me it makes me question the reason you gave me for getting rid of it. Especially since the fitment is off. I have heard the Corsa as well as many other exhausts, and while they vary in sound/pitch, they are all louder than stock. I just question how the CNT system bothered your son but the Corsa system with a race x-pipe doesn't?!

I didn't make anything up and am not trying to slander anyone. People on this board will come to their own conclusions. I just appreciate the irony of this exhaust not fitting properly on your car after the one I bought from you last month didn't fit properly on my car.
