Clean Slate E92 - What would you do?
I bought an E92 6MT at a great price as a fixer-upper. I'd really like to make this one helluva beast. More of a street beast but would be a fun day at the track as well.
If your budget was 10-20K, what would you do? (And to the guy who says "save the money" I already heard that from the wife lol) |

Harrop supercharger for sure...then look into an exhaust. As far as the engine goes you may not need much after that. Suspension is probably what you would want to look into next.

I definitely want to do: suspension, exhaust (cat back or midpipes), some exterior ground FX like front lip, larger rear spoiler. Maybe keep wheels or have powder coated. Tint Windows.
I did the Dinan signature in my last two M cars; I was wanting to go more beastly this time. Looks like most folks have ESS SC, but then there's the Evolve (which I haven't seen too many owners post). I had not heard of the Harrop before. |

Harrop supercharger, bearings, used set of wheels and exhaust.
Then later BBK and suspension.

Got a really high offer from an enthusiast that I couldn't refuse. And frankly I didn't love the DCT. I'm a stick guy all the way. I tried it, it was nice, fast, but not engaging enough, and all that torque made it hard to put the power down. And that Yas blue - everyone in town knew it was me... Trouble! Beautiful but like others have said wore off quickly on me.
And did I mention I have a car buy-sell disease? |

I looked at the Dinan stroker but it's big dollars for minimal usable 'street' power. I'd like to do some track events and such but it will get more street use by far.
I'm for sure wanting to do Coil over Suspension Full exhaust New Wheels Frozen Wrap Window Tint Chrome Delete And then---probably the ESS VT650 tune. It's 1000's less than the AA 700HP one, and more widely used and supported.... My awesome shop is European road and racing in Charleston. |

I can honestly say I am super happy with he e92 M3... After selling my 08 and moving on to many faster and more expensive cars I had always thought about My e92 M3. Looking to get a GTR in the next few months as my daily driver but keeping the M3 this time also. |

Also if you are missing the speed take a look at this. If I wasn't getting a GTR I would be going this route with the e92 M3
