Increased ticking

Anyone else notice an increase in the amount of ticking your engine does after an oil change? It is not the rod bearings, just an increase in s65 ticking noise.
2011 m3 21k miles.

I heard the same after changing my oil last week. I leaned over each valve cover and noticed it was more pronounced than before the change. Sounds similar to noisy hydraulic lifter ticking as you would hear in engines using hydraulic lifters.
Seems to have become quieter now....

Changed oil the other week, no increased ticket yet (nor after prior change). Staying with 10w60 though which may be a reason.

"Liqui Moly" is the cause of your ticking noises .
Heard it at least 5-6 times on here , the guys went back with Castrol-Edge 10W60 or the new BMW ///M Twin-Turbo oil and the ticking noises were gone !

I have liqui Moley and really didn't notice this. I was told the shell oil that Bmw now sells is not as good as castrol. Not sure if I can still buy this in canada.

I ran 30K miles with nothing else than Castrol-Edge , and now I run from last year with the BMW ///M Twin-Turbo oil 10W60.
The only thing I noticed is that my S65 warms-up a little faster , and it runs really smooth like usual .
So actually I have zero problems and I hope to keep it this way .

Thanks buddy. I guess everything is now twin turbo. Wish they would have kept castrol for our cars. Totally throwing us under the bus!
