Lowering car, need help with springs
Hey guys! I'm a new member to this forum as just acquired a Metallic Grey M4. I have searched, but can't seem to find a direct answer to my question.
I am looking to lower my car with springs as well as add spacers, but I wanted to see which spring would give me the most drop height. I want to go as low as possible giving a flush look with spacers. I thank you in advance for all your help! Last edited by eddie_alchemy; 10-26-2017 at 06:30 PM.. |

You can find shitty springs that practically put the car on the ground and rides on the bumpstops while shredding your wheel wells but why not just do some research and figure out how much you want to lower the car to get what you're looking for? You will get much better and precise responses.

KW HAS or MP HAS is definitely not a long term deal. If you are going to do just springs, make sure if you drive your car a lot, that you check the health of your suspensions. However, as far as I am aware of, I never heard of a car having issues with just lowering springs. At least I never hear Justin.AutoTalent tell me about it.
Given that my M4 has so few mileage I'm not particularly worried but my M3 is going to be with KW DDC instead of just springs.

Thank for all of the information guys!
After researching further I think I'm going with the Emmanuele Design Springs with 12mm up front and 15mm in the rear. Ill post pics once I receive and install. |

I always recommend coil overs, but many people opt for springs to retain the EDC |

I've just had my M4 CP lowered today. I was going to use the H&R Supersports, they give a 40mm drop, but if you have or will have a front splitter, just be aware of scraping it. It's an issue for us in the UK with loads of 'traffic calming' speed bumps.
In the end I went for the Eibach Pro kit (E10-20-031-09-22), with a 25mm to 35mm drop. 12mm spacers all round too. Hope this may be of help, kind regards from over the pond... |
