Visor Mirror Replacement

I recently posted about the access to the rear seats and bang!... my passenger pushed the front passenger seat to hard, it cleared the ceiling but hit the sun visor and broke the mirror in pieces... any DIY way to fix this? I can only imagine how much they will charge me to replace it

Update: Called BMW and the car model is too new and the parts have not made to the US yet, so they have to order from Germany and the mirror costs $120

No word yet on the labor to replace it.. so let's see...

This is a known PITA and some people been lucky enough to get it replaced by the dealer under warranty. I'd try for that.

But if they wont and you have to purchase it... it's pretty simple. There is a small cover on the mounting point on the right where the 'hinge' is. Use a small flat head and pop that off and you'll be able to remove the mirror after you unplug the harness.

Seriously try and get this fixed under warranty. Call another dealer if you have to.

I have had two of them replaced under warranty at the dealer.

I have a set for sale I can sell you a replacement. I put euro visors on my car so I have a set of these black oem. DM me if you want to discuss

Thank you for making aware that I should try the warranty route first, before paying for it.
I called them up and left a voice mail. I will definitely push for it!

This. Get it done under warranty. Is a design issue in my opinion.

Otherwise, if not here, I would have shell out some bucks for this!

So far, still have to edit the part from Germany! Betting that nothing changes and I get it replaced in no time.
