I've been stalking this Bimmerpost for several years and was invaluable as I've researched before buying. I've got a 2017 F85 and just leased a 2018 G30 530e. Put 24k miles on the F85 in 12 months. Can't think of a better way to burn $6,500 in fuel! However, I couldn't bear continuing to pound miles on the F85 and also wanted the semi autonomous driving and a carpool sticker so picked up the 530e. I've done the basic coding that you can do with bimmercode, but I really want to unlock the full potential of the Adaptive LEDs on both these cars. I've found the post with all the information about how to do it, but I wouldn't have any less trouble if it was in Russian. I'd love to get some referrals. I live in Ventura County and commute downtown LA, hence the 24k mikes in 12 months. I could meet someone near my home or somewhere in LA, but Ventura would be better since I have 2 cars to do.
A question for those that have coded their cars. How do you deal with it when the dealer updates the software and you lose coding? Do you pay to have it done again? Thanks much! |

Wow, Ventura County is way out there for me.
Especially during this holiday season. PM me where you are at exactly, and I'll see what I can do.

I specifically ask the dealer not to update my software.
