There are a lot of reports about 94 knocking more than Shell 91. Some use Petro 94? cuz Petro is just Sunoco in Canada and Husky 94 (bad reports), both which are not available in Vancouver so I exclusively, like many others who run high end cars or tuned cars, use Shell 91.

Isn't Shell 91 the only gas that contains 0% ethanol?

Chevron 94 does too but apparently Shell is better. Can kind of feel it on my end too but Might as well lemming this one if people say so.

Ive only used Chevron 94 for the past 20 years or so with no problems. With the total vanishing of chevron stations in vancouver over the last year or so ill probably try Shell 91 if I'm in need and not by a Chevron.

Chevron 94 for the past 10 years, no problems. Have always wondered if anything above 91 makes a difference. Timing advance is controlled by sensors that retard or advance based on 'knock' sensitivity but I'm not sure if there are limits to this above 91. In theory, 94 should be better than 91, right?

I’ve used Shell 91 and Chevron 94

I prefer to use Shell 91, just cause it tends to “last longer” in my tank.

Another reason being they both “contain 0% ethanol”, but at the same time Shell uses the same nozzle for all 3 grades and Chevron has a dedicated nozzle for 94.

In theory yes, but local tuners with dynos and data logging have been mentioning more knocking with C94 vs S91. Apparently S91 is 99RON and C94 is 98RON

TL;DR USC92 > S91 > C94

I've noticed that too, I thought it was just me and just "feels" but some have said it does last a bit longer. It feels smoother too. I remember living in the states and I put in Arco and used to last me quite literally 70% shorter than regular fuel. Arco was much cheaper though. That really goes to show quality of gas and wtf they put in their product really matters.

I have a Nexus card, but haven’t even crossed the border yet lol.

I notice I have more engine vibration with 94, but a bit more sensitive gas pedal.
