Angry M4 Rotors Warping at 2k miles

So I got my 18 M4 CP two months ago and last week the car started wobbling as I would break down from 60 to 40 mph. Took it to east bay Bmw and they said that rotors had warped... is this normal ? I have not taken the car to the track not I have been riding the breaks.

Thnx.

2K miles is too soon to be warped hope Eastbay BMW would swap out the rotor for you.

That seems unusual. I'm at 4,000 miles and no warping on my brakes.

Keep us posted. I also get my car services at East Bay BMW.

East bay bmw shop foreman test drove the car and said the front rotors were warped so they replaced the front rotors and breakes.

The vibration when breaking from 60-40 is gone now. Will keep you posted if it comes back

Thanks for referring me to the other thread. I guess I am not alone !!!

This has been covered extensively in many threads. It very unlikely for rotors as stout as the ones we have on our cars to warp. What you experienced is likely uneven brake pad deposit on the rotor due to improper bedding or brake overheating. Pad deposit is often misdiagnosed as warped rotors because it displays the exact same symptoms. Uneven deposit, if not too severe, usually wears off after a few weeks of normal street driving.

Good for you that the shop replaced the rotors under warranty. Just ensure you bed your new brakes properly.

...and you really need to learn how to spell "brake" .
