Adam's Ceramic Spray Better than the famous Collinite 845 / Bead Maker Combo??

Hi all!

Along with being a car enthusiast, I like many others enjoy detailing our own cars and trying new products. Adam's Polishes released their new product, Adam's Polishes Ceramic Spray (I am not sponsored or affiliated). I saw the hype on social media because they are marketing geniuses in the detailing world.

So I decided to purchase a 8oz bottle for myself to try. The only thing is two weeks before the release, I coated my car with TWO coats of the famous Collinite 845 wax and topped it off with P&S Bead Maker combo. This combo has been popular with the car community and think a big part was from Matt, from Obsessed Garage. I wash my car weekly and use P&S Bead Maker as my drying agent. So instead of removing all that hard work, I decided to test some of my panels.

Below is a video I ended up filming with some friends to give my perspective. I am open to constructive criticism

Where you can purchase the product:

P.S I am no expert but just a weekend hobbyist

Thanks for the write up.

I'm curious if this product will bond well to Bead Maker (and it's longevity) as it's probably a silica based sealant. Bead Maker has been my final LSP for the past couple months, but it's sitting on top of Opti-Coat and then Reload; nothing on top of it. Has been great, and I'm super happy with the product.

Have you lost any of the gloss level and hue from Bead Maker with this applied over it?

It's only been about two days since I've applied the Ceramic Spray. After I rinsed the car off with the pressure wash for the comparison, I dried the car with Adam's Polishes Ultra Plush drying towel and used the Bead Maker as my drying agent. I haven't lost any gloss level after using Bead Maker but only time will tell. I will update in a few weeks after a few washes have gone by.

a silica based product will only bond to bare clear/paint or another silica

bead maker is a triumph of e-marketing, hats off to the rag co and detailing vloggers peddling this stuff, it's just your average spray sealant formula from a decade ago, you'll get more slickness from optimum instant detailer at 1:3 which is even cheaper if that's what you're chasing

i personally use real coatings on all my cars (kamikaze and optimum), and then add toppers for the fun of it, they don't actually do anything tangible or last, the whole point of a coating is to shed dirt, it does the same for anything you put on it

again pure marketing genius, coatings are sold as 3-5 year impenetrable chemical resistant protection, take time and care to apply correctly, but then you need to protect them with a spray product you can wipe onto a wet car in 5 mins

if you want to cut through all the bs, this is a good chan to follow

I do enjoying trying new products and just wanted to share my experience. I will keep in mind on some of the products you mentioned.

Yes, I do agree that the companies you mentioned are marketing wizards. I'll check that channel that you recommended. Thanks for the feedback!

From what I understand as well, if you're using the Adams Ceramic Spray, you'll have to throw away your MF towels after using them, as it'll harden into shards of hard material that'll mar your paint if you reuse your towels. So, don't use your nice stuff.

PanTheOrganizer did a durability test between bead maker, Adams ceramic spray, and Meguiars Hybrid ceramic wax. All three were cured overnight and upon one spray of All Purpose Cleaner every one of them lost hydrophobicity. That's telling on the durability. Unfortunate this Adams product is overpriced garbage. Just stick with the cheapest spray sealant and apply regularly if that's the route you want. I believe bead maker is the cheapest in bulk.

Yep that's the difference between a real coating and a spray product marketed as a coating

I can wipe my cars down with wax and grease remover, and I do to remove tar spots, and it doesn't make a dent in the durability

In wet months I pre foam with an apc

Damn right! A true ceramic coating was definitely worth splurging for
