Hairline crack on side housing (circled) and occasionally grinding sound

Been having grinding sound (1-2seconds) sometime on low speed low rpm (event happen only once per drive, usually when car begin to get warmer)

Hoist up the car and spotted a hairline crack near[IMG][/IMG] here with oil leak.

We epoxy it with versachem quick steel epoxy and leak seem to stop

What could have happened?

If your gearbox casing is cracked something inside is likely damaged.

My gearbox still behave normally. Seems like something at final drive has issues?
