New to me M5 and it feels a little extreme to be stock tune. There are remnants of intake scoops (see pic) and when I do a pull, it shifts into 5th and is pulling through the 160's hard and wants to keep going?

That square outline in about the size of a Dinan tune box. But if it’s gone, so is the tune. Mine is installed in the same spot.

Those are cutouts in the front upper grill for scoops.

How do I post a video? What is stock times for 80-160?

If selling best to get rid of all evidence starting by cleaning all the sticky tape residue off

Not selling. Just wondering how to find out what tune it has in it?

I don't think there's an easy way to tell. You could put it on a dyno to confirm it has much more power than stock.

based on those cut outs and adhesive residue, you can probably bet the car was modded at some point; hard to tell on the tune though. My Dinan (dealer installed) sits exactly where you have that outline and residue. if it's a flash tune, see if you can do a pull w/ a known stock M5. Or hell, go test drive one on a used lot. Compare from there. Otherwise, only a tuner will be able to see what version of sw/DME is on there.

I live in South Carolina. Not many on the road or to go test drive. If I find one I'll have a buddy test drive it and we can do some pulls to see

I guess someone could have coded out the speed limiter.

I'm in Raleigh and have a mild stg1 tune (Dinan stg1). If I find myself in Charlotte, I'll let you know.

Not those, the square tape residue on top, closer to the engine. That’s a Dinan box....or was.

It just shows photos. No videos are an option to select.
