The recommended height specs is in the manual. Do you have a copy?

I’ll measure when I get back home

I do not. I would have by now if UPS hadn’t lost my package twice. Thanks man!

Trying to get an idea of how I want the height set prior to install.

Now you’re asking a lot lol. I can’t remember since I’m an old man buuutttt... I need to remove my wheels to get ceramic coated so I can add more insight in a few days. Might be too late for you if they find your package lol.

All good! A little trial and error never hurts. Going to start about halfway down front and rear and go from there.

UPS must've read my post because they magically showed up today. Going to get them in tomorrow

If it's not too much to ask could you share your feedback or review of the B16 Damptronic kit once installed and it settles? I've been researching this kit as the best EDC plug and play coilover swap, and it's been difficult to determine if these are too stiff to daily.

This thread has the most detail: https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1640910

I believe ntg44's install was hosed by a damaged rear connector, which caused the shocks to default to maximum stiffness. His review was they're too stiff to daily even in comfort mode, possibly influenced by the install issue.

TIA

The problem was a damaged rear cable. These are easy to break, and easy to replace. Once replaced and working properly, it was still too stiff for a DD. Like so stiff your voice is trembling when you're on the phone using Bluetooth, and the person on the other end asks if something is wrong. But really, the rear is so stiff your vowels are just changing pitch mid-word from the recoil. It was worst up to 40mph, was much better at higher speeds, but stlil not what I'd call comfortable. My wife got nauseous in the passenger seat after 15 minutes.

Not to bash its merits though. It's a great kit, but comfortable is the last thing it is. Any more questions, feel free to reach out.

My B16s are going on today and since I picked them up in the classifieds there shouldn’t be a settling period. My drive home will be mostly highly with a short city road to my place. I can give my initial impressions. If you’re near middle TN you’re more than welcome to check out the ride in person.

It’s definitely a firmer suspension setup.
I do notice that it takes a good couple of minutes to feel the difference between modes when changing.

I don’t have the same issues as ntg44 and I’ve had many business calls in my car with no issues. I’ve logged in many thousands of miles with this suspension and sometimes I wish it was stiffer at times of serious canyon carving.

I have never had KW’s but compared to my other M’s with TCK’s or my Swift setup on my F80, this is a great setup, again, no KW prior reference for what something softer might be.

Thanks for your feedback, and for what it's worth, I very much wish I had your experience. I didn't find it fun at all going through 4 suspension mods until I was happy. Another factor I think is what EDC settings are on each car. My suspicion is that these also affect how the dampers behave, but there are so many variations that I was over figuring out how to make it better, and just moved on to what I knew I'd be happy "enough" with - MP HAS + stock shocks.
