Loud high pitched siren from rear
My 2014 X1 E84 high pitched siren. After making a sharp left turn, I heard a high pitch siren sound from the rear, and my blinker indicators on dash were not working. It would be like this for 5 minutes, then it stopped and blinkers worked then it started it up again. Off and on for 15 to 20 minutes. Stopped at my designation. When I started car back up for return trip. Car was fine, no siren sound, blinkers worked fine. Drove it again a couple of hours later, everything ok. Drove the next day, no issues. What could have caused this, if i take it in to dealer I dont know if they can figure it out since it is not doing it now, afraid they will charge me a fortune for know results. What do you think I should do? Has anyone experienced anything like this?

I had a similar thing happen. I was leaving Lowes and a siren starting going off. Sounded like it was coming from the back and I thought there was some security tag that didn't get deactivated. I pulled over and then could hear it coming from the front of the car.
Turns out the key fob in my pocket activated the panic feature of the truck open button. Perhaps it is routed into the stereo inside as well? I am not sure if the blinkers were working or not. |
