Intercooler
Is anyone able to tell me how hot the intercooler gets while driving.
I purchased an M4 vanity plate that I installed on the intercooler (see attached photo) and want to put some silver paint or reflective tape under the plate on top of the intercooler to showcase it a little better. My concern is that if the intercooler gets too hot, it may start smoking. Any thoughts? I also need to know if anyone here has a technique for cleaning the aluminum components under the hood to stop them from getting the corrosion on them in future? I will be doing a detail under the hood when the waather warms up and want to do this at that time. Thanks in advance. S

Hey shouldn't get very hot in context to it's location.
I have heat reflective tape on my cooler; no issues. I would just put reflective tape or paint under the sections of plate that would show through vs. the entire cooler. Any metal polish will clean your parts; Mothers, Wenol, etc... |

Hey Whiskey7
my plan is to only put the tape under the M4 lettering and possibly the Competition sections if I am not able to bring up the aluminum to a better look. Thanks for the input. S
