yeah I'd say if the color combo is what you would order anyway go for it! $1000 off MSRP is more than most of us are gonna get (sad to say myself included...I ordered what I wanted, so I'm sure BMW won't budge haha), so the deal is even sweeter. NAV is high priced for what you get (what BMW option isn't, right!) and CA is nice but just something else that can break (read the other threads haha).....pull that trigger man...if you can afford it that is!:thumbup:

Get the car the way you want it!! The wait is indeed agonizing, but after YEARS of ownership, you will be better off with what you want. The "incentive" to get you to take the car in stock is only worth it to someone that actually wants the car equipped the way it is.
Also, it's my opinion that in today's world, I would NEVER buy any car without built-in navigation, provided it's available. It integrates other functions as well. Might as well buy a black & white TV. By the time you re-sell or trade the car, nav will be even more of the norm. Comfort access is awesome, but not necessary.

Here's my opinion
Waiting builds character.
Plus, it's fun. You can track your car and bug the people at BMW OC everyday. Plus, you get exactly what you want, unless you don't really know what you want. Regarding nav and ALL other options, it's a very personal choice that each person has to make. Be careful about being swayed too much by the opinions of others, this one included. Being a longtime Garmin fan, I was highly suspicious of the BMW nav but got it anyway, inspite of the cost. Turns out I like it fine. A took my Garmin on a trip recently, just in case the BMW nav didn't cut it, and the Garmin stayed in the bag. I actually liked the BMW nav better, much to my surprise. Nav operation from the iDrive knob was much easier for me than touch screen control. Plus, I use nav often and I like having it available all the time. If somebody wants my nav system they'll have to take the whole car. Busting in the windshield wont do it. That's just me though. |

I'd say if it's not what you want then wait. Waiting sucks! But it doesn't suck as much as buyers remorse. If you feel like you can live without those features without any remorse then get it. However if there is even a chance that you'll fell buyers remorse about not getting those features then just wait and get exactly what you want.

Do you have a purse to carry the CA remote in? Where will your remote and keys be while you are driving?
$2100 for Nav? (Nuviphone?) Do you have a bluetooth phone already? |

So what only women should buy comfort access? I carry my keys in my front left pocket. It doesn't bother me at all to have them in their while driving. Unless you wear cowboy tight Wranglers I think you'll probably find that you have plenty of room in your pants pockets to comfortably carry the remote while driving.
