Rear Mirror - Homelink and Compass
Does anyone know if it is possible to not order the homelink and compass option with the car build but order the rear mirror part after to install to have the function work?
Thanks in advance. |

I would also like to but a auto-dimming/compas/homelink mirror and install it. Is it a simple swap and plug'n'play? It was super easy to install on my Subaru once I had the parts as all of the wiring was tucked into the headliner and ready to use.

Based on the above post, it looks like the compass does not work with the retrofit. Must need something else besides the mirror to be installed.

The guy in the post went from an auto-dimming to a auto-dimming/homelink. The 1ers does not even have auto-dimming on the mirror without the premium package. Is it easy to go from just a plain old non-dimming mirror to one with auto-dimming (and homelink) or does it require extra wiring that is just not there due to no premium package?
