Welcome Kit/Year 1 of the 1 Book status?

Has anyone received a "Welcome Kit" from BMW? Just told on the 800 number that each owner should receive a welcome kit with CDs and other "stuff", and that the book would be send 4-6 weeks after that.

She also suggested that they were going "back out", which would lead me to believe some were "already out". considering that we have to be among the earliest owners, unless I slept through it (not on 1addicts every 5 minutes like before delivery), nobldy has received anything yet.

I was on the first boat that delivered ordered 1ers to the US, and no word yet. Long Live the MAIRSK WIND!

i was told 6-8 weeks from the date i took delivery. it's been 4 weeks thus far

It'll be 9 weeks for me, as of tomorrow, Wed May 28.

So far, I've received nothing, nada, zilch. I did receive a nice letter from my CA/dealer thanking me for the business, and welcoming me to BMW, even though this is my 3rd Bimmer.

I just got my welcome kit in the mail today. Haven't got the year 1 of the 1 book though.

My CA just sent me an update from the Regional Manager... the commemorative book should start shipping out within the next 2 weeks.

I'm still hoping I don't get screwed out of the Starter Button engraving! Car is being built first week of July.

I was told that all 08 cars will be built by the end of July. After that it's retooling time for the 09s. I'm doing a September ED and my CA said BMW has already earmarked a car in production for me.
