I think 8 to 10 weeks is the norm, but it depends on when the car actually goes into production, and then how long it sits at the dock waiting on a ship.

At least you get better informed than we do in Canada, I'm three weeks in and have no idea where mine is up to. It's horrible, I've never waited this long for anything I can remeber.

Average for West Coasters is about 8-10 weeks...East Coasters probably 6-8 weeks.

Mine is looking like 9 weeks... East-coast car.
The most grueling part was the post-build wait, which has been 5.5-6 weeks.

I'm in Hawaii and I'm told my car will take the West Coast delivery time PLUS another 3-4 weeks! So long, in fact, that I changed my order to a 2009 deposit rather than get my car a few weeks before the 2009's arrive.

I think that was a smart move unless you could have gotten some $$$ off.

Hang in there:wink:. To : sandy198423. I did PCD. You just have to tell your sales person to book you. They pay for everything except for your transportation to SC. See this thread. http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8766

http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte.../Delivery.aspx the program is free and is basically an exchange for the shipping change they would have paid to get your car to your dealer. To do PDC you have to tell your dealer and then once your car is produced and ready to be put onto a boat they will schedule you an actual date for the PDC. Just be warned though that doing PDC could potentially add weeks to your delivery time unless your schedule for doing it is very flexible. Dan |
