Year of the one missing on new production 1ers

I noticed a new 1er at a dealership with out the "year of the one" on the ignition. Was this feature just for limited 1ers

Oh..that seems early? I read August was the cut off. Glad I got my Year ONe of the 1!

It's a fake!!!

That's the first I've heard of that. Could they have changed something on the dash, damaged or replaced with a plain one?

I bet it's one of the Aussies flying here, prying them off, and replacing it with theirs from back in Oz, flying back, and selling them in the Sydney black market start bezel circle. Evil I tell you. Ingenious, but evil. Almost as good as the sharks with frikken lazer beams plan. :wink:

The OP is from Seattle. I bet it was a neighbor from the north who played the nice Canadian card, did the switcheroo, and snuck off across the border. Naughty naughty!

NVM their is already a thread on this issue and it was found that Canada 1ers do not get the special brand. Also rumors are starting to trickle that others 1ers in the USA are recieving without the branding.
