What is best way to fix rock dings

I have a few rock chips on the front bumper and on the leading edge of the hood. How can I get these fixed without getting the whole areas repainted? I have seen some things like Dr. Chip advertised in Roundel....do they work?

I've used the Dr. Colorchip method and was generally pretty pleased. Certainly easy enough to apply - a lot easier and a better job than the paint pens and brush & touchup paint I've tried on other cars.

The pics below (one is a > 100% crop) show a repaired chip on the leading edge of the hood. These were quick snaps and the harsh light of the strobe makes this look worse than it really is. Generally the repair is pretty difficult to see and you'd need to look for it to see it. I imagine I could repeat the paint application several more times and the chip would be filled even more than it is presently.

The repair above has at least 2000 miles on it. Seems pretty durable.

I've got 3 or 4 Dr. Colorchip repairs on my car and have been pleased with the results. My car is Black Sapphire and the results are very similar to the pics of the white car above. In other words, it covers the chip well as far as color goes but obviously doesn't make it invisible. All in all though, it's the best solution I've found; far better than touch up paint alone and it is pretty much goof-proof and I have made some MAJOR touch up paint goofs in the past ;-P
