Alpine White 135i - freakin amazing after Menz, glaze, JS109, 5050
Did my 135i this weekend. It was a lot of hard work, and had to work around a lot of challenges - 11 month old baby, wifey, heat and humidity. But I worked it in. Approx. 10 hours working on the paint.
I used my new foam gun and Porter Cable buffer package that I got from Detailed Image. Process: Wash with CG citrus wash Clay IPA wipedown Menzerna SIP Super Intensive Polish / Orange Pad Menzerna Super Finish (Nano polish) / White Pad Menzerna Super Finish (Nano polish) / Black Pad Meguair's Show Car Glaze massaged by hand CG EZ Creme Glaze by hand JetSeal 109 by hand Topped with CG 50/50 Limited Edition Concours Wax by hand Lots of IPA wipedowns On the wheels I did the glazes and JetSeal 109, but not 50/50. Still need to wash the windows... I am stunned with the results. The pictures don't do it justice. My wife was also amazed. She asked how come an expensive car doesn't come like this at delivery! |

Wow!
It really looks like it has "wet" paint, thats a great job you've done there Imoz. I love Apline White, and it really suits the 1 series IMO. This is how cars should be delivered to us, your wife is right. BTW, what wheels are those you have on there, and are they 18's? My 135 came with a different set than that, and I prefer yours to be honest! |
