Remember though that he cut his. It doesn't include the full bolt-on axle-back weight with connecting pipes. It does, however, account for where the real weight difference will be between OEM and aftermarket, in the mufflers themselves.

From having carried my stock muffler up and down the stairs a few times
I'd say between 40 and 50 pounds without the connecting pipes attached

i don't know but i know it is way heavier then the dinan one i replaced it with. when i picked it up i couldn't believe how much heavier it was lol. you will be saving some considerable weight whatever you replace it with
which one you thinkin of gettin??

3rd one already damn. what made you keep changing them?? didn't like the sound?? drone?? power?? 3 is alot to go through on the same car. we go through alot of mufflers in MX racing but it is bc ours get crushed in pile ups on the start lol

Muffler weights
Not sure how you measured this. I measured stock and Eisenmann on the same scale at 43.7 lb & 46.3 lb, respectively. Now that was the Sport Eisie, but I don't think they vary more than a pound or so. Certainly stock is not 50-52 w/o connectors.

As I posted above, just the muffler is ~44#; I haven't measured with the connecting pipes attached, so I'd take PencilGeek's 54# number (5# apiece seems reasonable).
