Thanks Frank. I had backed into that number from claimed weight savings of others, but haven't seen "THE STOCK UNIT WEIGHS THIS."

Remember though that he cut his. It doesn't include the full bolt-on axle-back weight with connecting pipes. It does, however, account for where the real weight difference will be between OEM and aftermarket, in the mufflers themselves.

Eisenmann Race and Sport: 44-46lbs
Stock cut at roughly the same spot: 50-52lbs.

From having carried my stock muffler up and down the stairs a few times

I'd say between 40 and 50 pounds without the connecting pipes attached

I'm done with mufflers for awhile. I'm on my third. TLud and I were just having a discussion over the weight of the stocker.

If you want to know the absolute weight of the OEM secondary cat-back exhaust system (including connecting pipes) ...

THE STOCK UNIT WEIGHS THIS... 25kg (55.1 lbs.)

Not sure how you measured this. I measured stock and Eisenmann on the same scale at 43.7 lb & 46.3 lb, respectively. Now that was the Sport Eisie, but I don't think they vary more than a pound or so. Certainly stock is not 50-52 w/o connectors.

So how much is it with just the muffler, and muffler with connecting pipes?

As I posted above, just the muffler is ~44#; I haven't measured with the connecting pipes attached, so I'd take PencilGeek's 54# number (5# apiece seems reasonable).

Because this doesn't give the weight of just the mufflers and tips (without the connecting pipes), but agreed that the thread has run its course.
