performance stering wheel

hi,i have just bougt the performance stering wheel,not the lcd type..my guestion is this:it feels tihkker then the standar m-sport..?i,am 198cm tall and it feels like the wheel is touching mi legs when driving..withe the m-spot wheel it did not feel like this..i think...is the performance steering wheel thiker or is it the alcantara thats not so smooth as the leather steering wheel..??anny toughts??
