Trailer hitch for track wheels?

How do you guys transport your track wheels to the track? This is the only trailer hitch I have seen for the e82:

I saw a cool removable hitch for the S2000 at the track:

Is there a removable hitch available anywhere for our cars? What do you guys use?

I can fit my four track wheels in the back with the seat folded down. Still have the trunk and front passenger seat for the stuff I haul to the track

Oh, that's good news. Do you put them in heavy duty plastic bags or wrap them to prevent getting the car dirty? Seems like that could be a huge mess.

Curt makes a hitch system for the 1 that mounts on the rear bumper supports. It's a really nice piece, but it does requires some slight dremelling on the exhaust support.

I bought 1 expecting to trail tires, but I ended up doing the "throw them in the back seat method".

TireRack totes are a little on the thin side and fall apart quickly. I made some lined/padded wheel caddies out of left over upholstery materials. They do a good job of protecting the wheels and keeping the interior from getting f-ed up.

Do you have a picture of the wheels in the back seat?
