She scratched my car....arrrgh

Girl I went out with last night scratched my car...probably with a ring. It was an accident but I need to get it taken acre of because the car is only a few months old. If i run my finger over it its flat, just the surface of the clear coat. To all you experts out there, how do I get rid of this asap and so it looks like it never happened....thanks in advance!

Go to a auto parts store, buy some Meguiars Scratch X 2.0, two or more microfiber towels, apply and remove. If you really can't feel the scratch, that should fix your issue. Ideally, you'd wipe the area down with alcohol and apply some wax/sealant once you're done.

Don't take her out again. If you do, tell her to pay for dinner.

If you open the door for her you'll protect your paint and she'll erroneously think you're a gentleman.

As you can't feel the scratch this will buff out quite nicely.

-clean area
- clay bar the area
- machine polish
- wax and seal

This will give the best results if you have a random orbital machine

Further off topic but my girlfriend often asks me what I would do if she accidentally scratch the car.

I always tell her I'll dump her then cry about the car.

This is why gentlemen always open and shut doors for their ladies...to keep the ladies from scratching the gentleman's cars!

Of course, the ladies find this behavior to be chivalrous and respectful.
Yes it is, to keep keep the scratches off the car.
Now, if you get scratches on your back from those nails, well, some things are worth the pain, that's all good.
