Nurburgring info
Let's start a thread on ring info so all of us can learn and improve...
I'll start with a PDF that BMW M put out years ago but full of good info... http://attachment.fbsbx.com/file_dow...v3CBXoJ-9yhcP8

1. Every time you do an addition to your vehicle, learn the effects of what it does to your car. Don't think, "Ah, I'll see what it feels like out on the Ring".
2. Co Pilot someone for your first time on the Ring, don't try to use you Gran Turismo 5 knowledge and go for a lap record. 3. Not only know your cars limits, i.e. tires, suspension, body roll.... but also your abilities as a driver. Don't try to be something you're not. There is a reason we're all out on the Ring on Tourist days, it's cause none of us are "Professionals". Don't hurt yourself. 4. Don't try to show off when you get to the multiple "Photography chances". Stay Focused. 5. Have fun, and smile when that Scuderia passes you =D

Tell your E9x friends not to try to follow you on the ring. Otherwise they might end up in a wall.
o Dont worry about time. Don't time yourself. o Make sure you pull everything loose out of your car. o Check you tire pressure o Dont worry about people passing you, so when that VW rental passes you dont let it get to you. o its easier to follow someone else's line to learn brake points and best lines, just make sure that they know your following them so that way they can take it easier. o bring and wear your gloves if you have them, long track+ adrenalin= sweaty palms o look for photos online the next day o Try to go with friends, that way your not bored waiting for you car to cool down. o Lastly, have some one take a picture of you putting on your sticker. |

About the times, nothing wrong with timing your self just don’t brag about it and tell your friends to do better. Drink water after each lap, don’t know about you guys but my mouth was dried out.
