calling everyone with x pipe and remap
Hi guys I've recently acquired my e92 m3 and would like some reviews from the guys that have x pipes and a remap if possible. What sort of bhp can you expect and what part of the rev range is improved? Coming from a 335d I'm use to low down pull which I'm struggling to get use to in the m3. I think the mid range could do with been a bit more lively.
Many thanks Andy |

Keep it above 5k and it will pull like wild horses.

Unless you do some major modifications like a stroker kit or turbocharger, the engine will always have the same high revving characteristics.
Just keep the RPMs higher for instant torque. |

Thanks guys. I know you need high rpm's to extract power this is the same with most na engines. It is a great feeling when you wind it right to the limiter though I grin like a cheshire cat every time. People have claimed 40bhp with remaps and x pipes. I would just like an honest review from someone that has these or similar mods

I have Dyno printouts at home. Big gains in the midrange with Dinan parts. I'll post later.

This is a stock plot then another with Dinan intake, cat back, middle race pipe, and tune. You can see the biggest gain is not peak, but in the midrange.
