Baltimore - Winter Setup?

Hey guys,

I might be moving to the Baltimore area and was curious - how does the M3 stand up to Baltimore winters? Do most of you guys have a winter set of rims/tires that you swap out or is that unnecessary?

I do in York, PA about 30 mi north of Balt, but realistically I only need them about 5-10 days a year.

I do it too, otherwise if you depend on your car everyday, you will loose its use on 2 to 3 days a winter due to snow

I drove my M3 through the winters on the Michelins. Only once out of three winters did I wish I really had snow tires. Realistically, the areas around the bay tend to be preety tame.

However, nothing beats the safety of a good set of winter tires, not just because of snow traction, but also because of cold weather performance.
