lol no you wouldn't, but it's a nice thought. What do you think about the current administration's use of vacation and resources? Would you not golf for 4 years if you liked golf?

This is why the political stuff should stay away, as stated in the forum rules. It always devolves into bickering and serves no purpose. I can get all the politics I want to suit me elsewhere, as can everyone else.
I dont think he was getting into any particular president in one way or another, they all cause issues due to the heightened security....

..back to guns, the issue was how shit the SS have been in the last couple years. Verifiably awful.

Kinda ridiculous SS agents running around in dress suits. In the video, one can be seen fighting his coat to get his pistol out. EVERYBODY knows who you are. Dress for the occasions which is Presidential protection. It's not a beauty contest.

Picked up a Gen6 G45 COA this past weekend. A fantastic optic and the upgrades for the Gen 6 are pretty nice. Need to grab an XC3 and some more mags, then I’ll hit the range.

I’m not a Glock guy in the least, but I’m pretty excited about this purchase.

I have two… in no particular order:

SIG Mk25, the fancy P226. It’s a dream to shoot, especially with a suppressor.

HK USP45 Tactical, it has a Match trigger on top of the other upgraded bits from factory. So fun to shoot with can, it’s basically Hollywood quiet. Runs like a top.

Both are home defense or SHTF guns, definitely not fun to conceal.

My concealed gun is a G43X…. Glocks are utilitarian for me, they have a purpose but they don’t bring me joy (LOL). Maybe the G45 will change that.

Nice, same for me, Glocks are my SHTF pistols. Something jumps off I'm grabbing a Glock. 43X is also my concealed carry for which I have OEM 15 round magazines on pre-order.

Believe it or not Walther PDP 4.5" with Holosun Competition dot is my joy pistol. No trigger work needed. Just waiting on a threaded barrel.

When nostalgia hits nothing better than my old Beretta 92FS.

I have a HK SFP9M and a Sig P229SAO Legion that are my go to, both are terrific to shoot (and call me what you want, i love the safety on the SIG).

In the house though i have a suppressed Honey Badger next to my bed (and a soft vest) as well as a B&T APC-9 in the closet suppressed. Dont wanna wake up the wife while I'm putting in work.

My CC is a Walther PPK! Deadly from 3-7 yards (after the first shot) :D

I wouldn't call anyone out on their choice of firearm. But, I'm too old to overcome muscle memory. For personal defense I strictly rely on 9mm Glocks and iron sights. Under stress I don't want any variables. I shoot better with a dot but can't put in enough work to feel comfortable.

I also carried a Remington 870 for 25 years so no new shotgun for me :sigh:

Exactly why i dont have a red dot on the HK, do have one on the sig though. I practice with both regularly to keep the skills up.

No dot on the PPK :D

Substitute an Ithaca 37 for the Remington and same same. I'm old now and Glocks with irons will have to suffice.

House and vehicles are filled with SigSauer P365's, all 9mm in various barrel lengths.
P365-XL Comp with red dot for IDPA (Stock Service Pistol) No safety
P365-XMacro w/iron sights w/safety (my pants pocket Church gun) Never could get a red dot out of my pants without it catching and never found a pocket holster worth a damn. Yes like most shooters I have a draw full of holsters) :D
P365 w/red dot/No safety. My daily/appendix carry and most often my church security weapon (jeans and shooting belt seems to be accepted)

Point is, while it's fun challenge to shoot a iron sight, for me the best all round is the Holosun red/green dot, all distanced and all situations. (interesting note, I couldn't shoot red dots until after my cataract surgery, as the dot was not defined enough) The Holosun's that I use are not built ins so I can see the iron sights. I do believe in muscle memory and I'm old. :sigh: I get in at least 20 min appendix carry to target every week and everyday prior to going to a match.
Just to confuse things the last USCCA gave us data that defensive gun use incidents frequently involve physical contact, so our red dots not the choice.

The P365 is such a great gun. I had the zev one and traded it for something else, worst trade i ever made. It was literally the perfect carry gun in size, caliber and concealability. Ugh i wish i had that back.

Had to sign-up for my CCW renewal class today. Every 2 years sure is monotonous, not to mention expensive; $250 just for the class. Grusom Newscum's response to Bruen was to double the length of the initial (16 hours) and renewal (8 hours) classes. The best part is the video of the FBI agent giving a safety demonstration to a bunch of kids and shooting himself in the foot!

Kind of a waste of time and money since I lost my pistol in the Pacific...
Had the "training" today. There's a new requirement for the shooting portion. In addition to staying in the lines, you gotta have one head shot and 2 pelvic shots. For us, the target was shaped like giant milk bottle.

We just have to do one 8 hour course. Then pay a fee every 5 years for renewal.

As of now, our permit (like I need a permit to exercise my Constitutional rights!) is good for 2 years and since Bruen, renewals need an 8-hour course (initial is 16 hours!). Prior to Bruen the course were 4 & 8 hours. Newscum threw a tantrum and increased the course times and made most of the state a sensitive area (SB2), in direct defiance of SCOTUS.

NY State did the same temper tantrum, passing all kinds of new sensitive location laws and also reproducing the existing laws to start the court case shot clocks all over again.

After day two of living in a constitutional carry state, I'm still trying to wrap my brain around living in the *real* land of the free.....

I visited Cal once. Can’t say I liked it much. This country boy definitely couldn’t put up with that dude. The Supreme’s need to take up a case and end this nonsense for good before it’s too late!!! If the court ever swings left our rights are gone.

Renewed my club membership this week and took advantage of great weather to punch some holes. Had the ranges to myself on a Friday afternoon.
