I am looking for a new watch and was thinking about getting that would suit racing, driving and cars.

What would you recommend?

What currency? If 10k US, the Monaco would fit that bill.

Just my opinion, but if someone was going to spend 10K I would probably only consider two watches - if u can do w/o or minimum markup a new Rolex SS gmt Pepsi or at discount IWC big pilot petite prince, 46+ millimeters.

Stainless steel 10k watch ?

At 5k omega speedmaster had always been a great watch. But the Apple iWatch, beside needing charging, i think has upended the market except if u travel and can’t charge.

I wouldn't spend money on a Rolex or omega. But that's just me.

Entry level IWC can be had near that and are much better watches IMO.

How? Entry level IWC uses the same ETA movement found in most watches that sell for less than $500. It is not superlative chronometer certified and the construction of the case and material is not as durable.
If you want to discuss solely design of the IWC, then that is another conversation.

Double check but the ETA movements are used using IWC’s own specs and finishing. I believe IWC goes to ETA, where as 20 years ago or so IWC received the ebauches from ETA and worked on them themselves.

Tag Heuer is my go-to timepiece of choice. The Monaco line is fantastic. My personal favorite is the Carrera.

My vote is for the Speedy Pro. Looks great with a leather band as well.

Zenith El Primero

With a very beautiful and historically significant 36000bph automatic (in house) movement:

Available in different designs and sizes (also smaller sizes).
Starts at about 5k I believe

Early Speedy's are perfect with these cars. I think this works pretty well also:

Is there a mark up on the Daytona ? and waiting list ? if you can get one for ~12K no- brainer.

2 year waiting list for the new ceramic SS Daytona, or be ready to pay $20,000+
Or you can find the last version, used, for $13,000+
