darksilkx1 wroteWith 10% increase in power, and a longer, wider and taller body, it manage to go from 0-100 km/h in faster time...Wild Blue wroteI thought we heard it was going to be a more dynamic vehicle. Maybe someone smarter than me can elaborate on how you achieve that if the car is longer, wider, heaver, and the engine output is up just 10% over the previous gen.Small quibble, the first weight jump is 78 lbs, not 122.

buckybadger wroteI've had three of the very first of the last M3/4 models (E46, E92 & F82). While there have been a few issues, BMW has taken care of them well, sometimes even after warranty. Is it safe to buy first year X5 model?
Kakalika wroteI think that was the most helpful video so far! To bad it wasn't in English, but at least he got up close on many parts of the car.Hmmmm, looks like there is no sunglasses compartment in the upper console by the rear view mirror as in the F15. Disappointing!!!
Kakalika wroteYes. And it looks like they also removed the airflow temperature wheels from the middle vents. I’ll miss those.Hmmmm, looks like there is no sunglasses compartment in the upper console by the rear view mirror as in the F15. Disappointing!!!
Overall though, a very nice interior.
Kief wroteHere are a couple of pictures from the 2019 850. I guess this is what the G05 console will look like without the air suspension and off road mode buttons. When will we ever see a US-spec M Sport without the Off Road Pack (since it cannot be combined here)?? As I'm curious what the rear diffuser will look like. Also, how the center console will look without those off-road specific suspension buttons. Changes are also likely to happen with the interior trim finishes as they did with the G01 in different markets. Lastly, what do the non-laser headlight DRLs truly look like.

I'm guessing they will light up blue or red, depending on selected temperature. Something I felt was really needed for night use.
Kakalika wroteI think those are just the air flow wheels, not the stratification. It looks like on most newer models (G01, G11, G30) there is no stratification wheel, it is all done digitally through a Touch Panel (G11), or through iDrive on the other models.I think these may be the airflow temperature wheels in the middle vents.

This video shows the iDrive controls, about 1:20 in.
Kakalika wroteCool. I thought those were for opening or closing the vents, but it looks like there are LEDs that I hadn’t noticed at first. I hope you’re right!
Kakalika wroteIt looks like the ticks grow in size down the dial, which would mimic the airflow more than the temp wheel, which is too bad.
buckybadger wrotesure its safe or you think it comes with no warranty ?Is it safe to buy first year X5 model?

... "Lowrider"?
Couple personal OPINIONS, i.e. no need to flame me:
1. The M50d pictured is wrapped in Carbon Black. Sorry, just doesn't look right, to my eye. Perhaps I've seen too many AW and MW examples. Mineral White in particular does a fantastic job of highlighting the new, appealing, aggressive character lines. I ordered MW. (For the record, Carbon Black might just be my very favorite BMW color choice, the difficulty of keeping it clean notwithstanding. Think it makes sedans and coupes scream awesome. Just think it doesn't look right on an X vehicle, but that's me.)
2. The 40i xDrive pictured features 4KT Brown-Anthracite Matte Trim, paired with Black Vernasca... and I LOVE it. That's what I ordered, and it appears to hit the authentic, sophisticated vibe I'm trying to hit.
3. The pictured examples feature 741M and 744 21" wheels. The straight-on side views confirm what I don't like about these options: the spokes makes even the M-Sport calipers and discs look small, especially on the rears. They make visible too much space around the discs, to my eye. Part of the reason I stayed with the 740M 20" wheels with ZMP.
4. I'm expecting that the oft-maligned large kidneys will in fact be in perfect proportion with the balance of the aggressive front end.
I generally do not offer personal opinions on these forums, since I respect that each person has different preferences. And there's no right/wrong, good/bad, true/false when it comes to these subjective things. But for whatever reason, felt compelled to offer my $0.02 in this case.
