skullman wroteNo, unfortunately it's just the luck of the draw. Another one came in the same time as mine and it had Conti's. So I looked both over to see the differences. Pirelli's have a flat sidewall with a wheel protecting lip, 320 treadwear. The Conti's have a bulging sidewall with no wheel protecting lip and 280 treadwear. My 22'' wheels are coming with continentals, notice you have the Pirellis, was that something you could choose when ordering it??
X5_CC wroteNo,you're not the only one. I've ordered 20" on my X5 40i M-sport, but its Style 740M.Am I the only one with 20s? My old vehicle had 22s, and I figured I would be responsible this time with our horrible roads for a little better ride.
sygazelle wroteI got the same wheels and they look great. If you live near or in the city, you will understand. No,you're not the only one. I've ordered 20" on my X5 40i M-sport, but its Style 740M.
I think the 21" and 22" look great and congrats to those who stepped up and ordered the upgraded wheels. They look amazing. But I'm at a stage of my life where comfort and practicality are more important to me. I've had the big rim, low profile staggered set up with high performance summer tires and I loved them. But, the ride is harsher, the tires cost a fortune and they wear out twice as fast. Now, for me, 20's with all-season with a decent wear rating is the thing. I'm just hoping to see a clean photo of the Style 740M wheels to see what I've ordered. They look good to me on the configurator, but real-life photos or seeing them in person will reduce my anxiety. Enjoy your 20's. For some, bigger isn't always better
RJC wrotePlease share a photo or two of your 740M's. Thanks!I got the same wheels and they look great. If you live near or in the city, you will understand.

RJC wroteCongrats on you new ride. It looks stunning and those wheels look great. The 21's and 22 wheels are very nice indeed but this 740M in 20" is my choice too. This is all I have on my computer. You will love them!
mnewnam wroteLooks great, is it performance or all-season tires?I LOVE the 741's. Rides extremely well for a low profile run flat.
skalberti wroteI started a thread the other day asking precisely this question. Oh BMW and your tire lotteries! I already lost one.skullman wroteNo, unfortunately it's just the luck of the draw. RJC wroteGood taste. This is all I have on my computer. You will love them!
sygazelle wroteI went with 19s for all the same reasons. Like the way they looked, care more about the ride and prefer to make it harder to do curb damage. Past the stage in my life where big rims are a thing - but know what it's like to get'm and enjoy'm when I was younger. No,you're not the only one. lumpydog wroteI think 20's were the smallest I could get on with M-sport trim. If they had 19's I probably would have gone that route. Square setup is also better for me.I went with 19s for all the same reasons. Like the way they looked, care more about the ride and prefer to make it harder to do curb damage.
