PNWM50I wroteWow! That looks amazing! How much did you say this cost you?I’m very content with the purchase. Installation was easy and because the trim flexes (given how thin it is), it was easy to gently lift it and re-align it to a position I wanted. It was worth the buy and admit I took a huge gamble on it when buying from abroad. Emails with the seller were appeared somewhat sketch (English not their first language) but the product came as promised and well packaged.
BMWholesome wroteCan’t say as I had worked a deal with the seller below their asking price on eBay but I bet you can get it for 650 shipped.Wow! That looks amazing! How much did you say this cost you?
Are the doors still solid?
Thanks in advance -- also do you have a link to the ebay store?
The Mad Veteran wroteIt links directly to the item and only let you pay in Etransfer type methods, seems a little sketchy. Wish I knew what ebay store it was at least some buyer protection there.Does anyone know where I could get this trim? I looked at the link from page 1 and where he got his trim but unable to find it on the site.

timmahh wrotebI was looking at some parts and for example (it seems) the piece that runs from the iDrive screen all the way to and including the passenger vent is one piece. The light rods are embedded in them, so it's big chunks at a time of the car -- but maybe that makes it easier. The area around the central control (ie shifter) comes out along with the upholstery surrounding it in a pretty big piece. The control unit itself comes out, then you can separate out the upholstery pieces from the existing trim & light bars.
It doesn't seem "that bad", if you have interior trim tools and some micro fiber clothes to protect stuff. I would worry most about accidentally yanking something and destroying a ribbon connector somewhere.
timmahh wroteBe careful l when you buy of the internet most of the time they don’t tell you it is for Left hand drive ,I have bought 4 items and 3 of them no good ,for left hand drive and what a job to get refund, the centre consul is quiet a big job taking off ,so I am going to see what they canI was looking at some parts and for example (it seems) the piece that runs from the iDrive screen all the way to and including the passenger vent is one piece. Len wroteMy trim has held up and looks fantastic. When I purchased from JC Sportline, they did ask for a photo of the steering setup (LH or RH) to confirm trim set. I’d still recommend them and would definitely buy again.Be careful l when you buy of the internet most of the time they don’t tell you it is for Left hand drive ,I have bought 4 items and 3 of them no good ,for left hand drive and what a job to get refund, the centre consul is quiet a big job taking off ,so I am going to see what they can

samvora wroteI plan on using a hair dryer to warm up the adhesive before removal. But honestly, if I’m getting rid of this truck as a trade in, I’m not concerned about how much $$ I’m going to lose from a dealer on it. They probably won’t even notice it’s that good.I would wonder how would the oem trim hold up underneath this stick on CF trim if I need to ever remove the CF trim. Any thoughts?
PNWM50I wroteGlad to hear it held up man, what kind of climate you live in if you don't mind me asking and how long has it been installed to date? What the thickness of this stuff would hate to feel that the start button is sunken in. Still wanting to pull the trigger on this -- maybe the summer! My trim has held up and looks fantastic. The start button isn't surrounded by the overlay trim as seen in the pictures.
bubbahead wroteI live in Washington state. The trim is paper thin and very flexible when applyingz Very pleased with my decision and would do it again.I'm still waiting for my order.

One question - I put in my 2023 X5 45e and for most it says this trim wont fit.
QU - is the interior of the 20/21 X5 40i any different from the interior of the 45e?
I can’t imagine it’s any different - except maybe near the gearshift knob in how many drive modes there are.
thanks in advance.
bluesmachine wroteI highly doubt there is any difference between the models aside from the buttons on the console. The trim goes around the console. Can someone kindly chime in on the center console area and if the 45e and the 40i are identical? I am about to pull the trigger on this carbon fiber trim.
thanks in advance.
I'm getting my pieces today. Will take pictures before install. I ordered individual pieces ( centre console, Dash trim $115 CDN). I plan on wrapping the door trim since its 4 small pieces ( 1 per door) and easy to remove.
I ordered from Ali-express. They all come from China and the same factory.
Might be good to look at it with just a few pieces installed which wont be as expensive.
