Lady Jane wroteYou can see the DNA of the Phabulous Phantom in the Voodoo. Quite the performer; like the F-104, built for speed and not for turning with that small wing and high wing loading.416 Sqn. Voodoo from CFB Chatham over New Brunswick.

XC-99 which was a the cargo variant and only 1 was built and was the only operational X cargo aircraft in the USAF. I was on the crew who flew the wings and engine to the boneyard in 2012. I doubt it will ever get restored.
Was cool to go through the hangers at Wright Patt seeing restoration work for new exhibits. We had hauled some other stuff there in the past for them.

I worked with a guy that was bragging all shift that he'd now been at LAX TRACON for over 10 years. I'd finally had enough so when I handed-off the next aircraft to him I told him to ask how long he'd been at LA. The guy checked-in and my coworker asked if he had a question for him. The pilot asked how long he'd been at LA and my friend said, sarcastically, more than 10. The pilot asked if that was minutes or days. I about died laughing looking at the deflated look on his face!

I did 27 years in the 9th, 21st (Attached) and 312th.
We probably know a few of the same people.
As far as the XC.99- I walked around it when it was still in one piece and sitting in the ramp at SKF, as well as seeing the parts years later at DM and FFO.

Edit: ah I see 2008M36MT got this one earlier... or didn't see, it's a stealth plane.
Can we agree that of the big 3 US carriers Delta has the best service?
