The Edmund link was interesting for sure. Something that jumps out a little bit is that those are older tires, tech has moved on a bit from there.

I've had AS4s over at Porsche, and they worked fine, or at least seemed to, but I did not test them in any objective way. Certainly I didn't notice a lack of wet traction, and I'm in the Seattle area; they faced a fair bit of wet.

It's an interesting question and I thought it likely we're not the first to ponder it, so I did a quick search. Because we're comparing good summer tires like the PS4 I searched for that versus the AS4 which seems like a fairer comparison than a no-name versus a PS4.

To much typing to try and summerize those and I think anyone that would bother to read what I wrote would rather actually read the comparisons anyway so I'm going to settle for leaving the links.

So just curious how those Arroyo Grand Sport tires ended up working out for you???

How did those Arroyo tires do in the long Run???

After I put them on I really never gave them another thought which is good. I don’t drive a lot. Think I put about 4K on them so far and they look same as new. They may not be for everyone but I’m guessing they would work just fine for the majority. Sure I push it sometimes but not once did I feel like the tires gave way before I did.

If you upgrade from 20 inch Mpsort wheels to 22 inch M sport wheels do you need to buy a TPS sensor or something? or just make sure you balance the tires?

Yes you will need to buy the sensors. Should be able to get 4 of them under $200.

Anyone have any issues with these tires so far? I've order a set for my X3 but just noticed that there was a recall for some Arroyos a few months ago: https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/threads/sentury-tire-recall-mohave-tire-owners-nb.376450/

Saw on Reddit someone that works at Mavis Tires complaining of blown out sidewalls with the 1TB plant code? https://www.reddit.com/r/tires/comments/1agh0ck/sentury_tire_quality_issues/

I’m no tire expert but the alignment looks way way off based on tread wear.

Yes, but they were saying they've had about 10 customers come in with blow out sidewalls for tires that came from the 1TB plant (which is where the Arroyo's are all produced). Hoping they've fixed any QC issues since the recall.

I went with the Arroyo tires and would not recommend these tires to anyone. I drove them about 2400 miles and took them off. They were fine initially, however after about 1000 miles, I started to feel flat spots even though this is my daily driver. Also, the road noise became unbearable and it felt like the tires were out of balance. I went switched to the Pilot Sports and will get OE approved winter tires for next season.

Would you please post another pic or two so we can see the sidewalls? Maybe a little further out. TY!

Thank you for posting! How’s the sidewall compared to your Michelin? From the pics it looks a little tighter to the wheel. Would you say they’re the same or does the Arroyo have a slightly lower profile?

I think it’s the same. I like the look. I put Pirelli Scorpion AS on my wife’s X3M and those def don’t look as good as the Michelin or these.

I’ve been running mine for about 10 months now. I tried searching for my installation sheet but couldn’t find it, but I think they’ve been on for roughly 8,000 miles.

No issues during my first winter with them. And we’ve had a decent amount of snow in my area. I live on a steep private drive and can make it up with some snow cover.

Recently I thought I noticed what a few posts above described as a slight vibration but I actually think I narrowed it down to a stretch of road that I’ve begun a new commute with. Only happens in one lane of a particular stretch of highway. Strange.

Anyway, I’m lowered with the m50i UCAs and there’s no inner wear and plenty of even tread left. At this point when they’re ready to be replaced I’d buy them again.

All i need to hear, im considering these for x5m f95. My biggest concern was the noise. Thanks for the update.

Bought them and having them installed on Saturday. Super excited as I didn't realize when my X5 M was delivered on the 8th that I wouldn't be able to drive it (Chicago temps have been insanely low). I loved the wheels I picked out and didn't want buy different ones with a smaller rear. Hoping these work well until the weather warms up around here and I can get the summers back on! Should be decent timing for my break in service appointment!

Hey just wanted to check in again and see how these have been for you?
The price is seriously unbelievable, and I might pull the trigger on these if they aren’t bad!

I’m considering buying these. I have two options:
Arroyo Grand Sport A/S for $700 all four
Pirelli PZero A/S for $970 all four (used front 8/32 tread, rear 9.2/32 tread)

Would you say the Arroyo’s have been holding up well? Should I go with Pirellis or Arroyos?

I have had no issues with the Arroyos, but ultimately that’ll be a decision you’ll need to make as my situation may be different than yours.

I went with these for two reasons; tired of having different sets of tires in my garage for different seasons and with being lowered going through sets of tires because of excessive wear. Being that I went with the different UCAs the tire wear hasn’t been an issue with over 10,000 miles on the Arroyos. As I mentioned above, when these are ready to be replaced I will buy them again.

My climate I live in, it snows for only about 2 weeks throughout the year, the snow part is my main concern. But seeing how your experience was, it seems like going with the arroyos might be the best bet!
