Thank you very much for the reply. Greatly appreciate. I’m following through with the return. I’ve already spent entirely too much time attempting to troubleshoot further.

I also reached out to paddleshifterz. They also do not seem to have an understanding of what will work. I don’t want to buy a new airbag. There has to be a wheel which should accept my horn plate and airbag.

Do you by chance have guidance on which chassis code wheel would work without replacing the airbag?
I just made an edit above since I left out that this wheel will take the stock airbag. I know a couple of people with an X5M and they bought this wheel. You'll have to tell them if you have the LCI or not since the LCI doesn't have the wheel heat button. Also that you'll need the vibrate motor extension cable since it relocated to the bottom of the wheel.

I managed to fit the LCI OEM steering wheel.
Ordered everything from my local dealer.

The problem was that my automated driving wasn't working anymore.
Tried everything, the solution was to switch the black modules from my old wheel to the new.
Now everything is working!
Had to make the cable for the vibrator a bit longer because you can not unplug it from the black module.

Also the red M1 and M2 buttons are not working.
But for know you can only order the top cover with the holes for these buttons.
So i mounted them, because it looks nice, and now the holes are filled on top of the wheel

These are the parts that i ordered:

Wheel 32305A8A906
Under cover 32305A8A910
Upper cover 32305A8A907
Vibrator 32305A8A8D8
Cable 32305A8A914
CarbonTrim 32307908506
Hornplate 61319882774
Nuts 32305A8A8E2
M1&M2 buttons 61318090047
Airbag 32305A250D1

When you swapped the airbag, did you need to code in the new one? I'm doing the same install with a OEM LCI wheel and it seems like the old airbag will not fit.

Apologies for the semi-related query, but I recently saw a port installed M Performance steering wheel on a 2026 X5M. It had the typical blue stripe and was an alcantara/leather hybrid wheel with M Performance branding.

Does anyone know what the part # is to do a complete swap from a factory steering wheel on a 2026 X5M?

Thanks!
