I'm not sure.. I just checked, my status, it changed to "AWAITING CARRIER ASSIGNMENT - A carrier has been assigned to take care of your BMW." -- Whatever that means (sounds like they are putting it on a truck.)

If I were to guess, it will end up at the dealership in the next few days / next week (about 550 miles away). Then it needs to be shipped to where I am, about 700 miles.

So who knows. I'm guessing the dealership will be calling me soon.

I’d go get it and drive it home.

i was thinking about it.. But I will probably put rock chips in the paint as bad as an open trailer, though I am going to request enclosed trailer. Plus, I am not sure I want to break in the engine on the interstate.

Your car is done, it was released for transport, meaning that essentially now it's ready to go and just waiting for a truck to pick it up.

Flipped to dispatched from factory. Does anyone know the transit time to the west coast?

Bilka's user avatarBilka Couple of weeks via train to San Bernardino rail yard then via truck to the dealer if you are in SoCal.

Did you get a carrier? How quickly after production?

It’s still showing the same status on the app and website. “Awaiting Carrier Transport”. When calling the automated line it says it is being transported. I don’t think they updated everything the same way.

Also the dealer is listing it as part of their inventory on their website.

Anyone have theirs built this week? I’m still a 12/20 production date.

I have the same exact production date on my m60i... Wondering if it will be built that day or perhaps a day or so earlier? Hope it's earlier.

I have 2vw added so I'm thinking it may not but since it hit 150, that means that the parts should be assigned, etc for production of all options.. fingers crossed

OH snap, I just wrote that and checked mybmw and there it is. It is now in status 153. It was 150 earlier in the day, I honestly did not expect it to go into actual production today with the 2vw added to the build. Real happy to get it built 3 days earlier then 12/20 this will greatly help in getting it by 1/2... :happyanim:

Ugh…. Still 12/20. Maybe tomorrow…

It also might be delayed on the updates, check it in a few hours. Mine stated 150 status all day then was very surprised to see it 153 when I re-checked.. If not tomorrow is a good bet as we are seeing them running 2-3 days ahead for production dates that were scheduled for 12/20! It's still mind boggling to me that they can build these things in about 4 hours!

Mines been stuck in "AWAITING CARRIER ASSIGNMENT - A carrier has been assigned to take care of your BMW." since last friday (6 days now). -- and when I call into the automated phone line it says it's on its way to the dealer which is 8 hours away. I emailed the dealer late yesterday and still have not heard anything back. The vehicle is also listed on their dealer site (same vin).

I'm sure everything will happen all at once. I would love to get it before the 25th of this month.
