X5Mnwi wroteThat sounds really good, do you have a link you can post on where to obtain one? thanksAfter the 3 weeks I waited for the 11 mode controller to show up, I installed it. Took around 5 minutes as the ass end of the 2026 X5 M60i is closer to the ground than expected so had to do a little squeezing.

I just wanted to check there was no need to remove panels, bumper, wheel etc....
It is hopefully going to ship this week 🤞🏽
Motorin Mark wroteHere's the link to buy your 11 Mode. That sounds really good, do you have a link you can post on where to obtain one? thanks
Wackjam wroteIt's super easy, you don't need to remove anything to get at your valves. Slide under and you'll see them.I'm waiting for my controller to ship. Any tips on installation?
X5Mnwi wroteDo the valves stay open or do you have to open them each time you start the car? After the 3 weeks I waited for the 11 mode controller to show up, I installed it. IL X5 M60i wroteYou have to open them each time you start the car. Once I start the car, I let it run for a few seconds to make sure any start-up sequence takes place, then I'll click the open button and put the key-fob away.Do the valves stay open or do you have to open them each time you start the car?
I like the sound so I run them open when I'm driving. My wife doesn't so she leaves it alone.
When you turn off the car, the valves reset to original position and you have to do the process again.
It's really not too bad.
Jaik wroteWas wondering if that would work. Thanks for the info. The homelink mirror works with these controllers too, so now I shut the garage door and open the valves when leaving home. If you want the valves to close with the mirror, this also works fine too - just program another button on the mirror for closing
Jaik wroteCould you walk us through precisely how to program the homelink buttons on the mirror to accomplish this? Motorin Mark wroteThe procedure is no different to a garage remote really. Press the available mirror button to enable pairing mode, then press the valve open button on the remote. Then do the same with another available mirror button and do the close valve button on the remote. For me, the open button on the mirror does not close the valves... I guess the frequency emitted by the valve remote is different per button?Could you walk us through precisely how to program the homelink buttons on the mirror to accomplish this? TIA
Jaik wroteSame here I programmed the home link to open but you'd need to program another button one to close as they are different frequencies. I don't see the need to close the valves since they close when you turn the ignition off but maybe to some that matters. The procedure is no different to a garage remote really. Jaik wroteDo I need to press the 1 and 3 button first to clear out everything as directed when I programed my garage door opener or do I just hold the 1 button in while holding the remote close and wait for a green light? I don't want to lose my garage door opening feature. Thanks. The procedure is no different to a garage remote really. paimon.soror wroteThank you, I received the 11 Mode controller last week and installed it yesterday. Programed on/off to my mirror buttons easily and really makes a nice difference in the sound. Nice mod.Just hold the button down for the one you want to program until it starts flashing.
