Ordered through Mike at Extreme PH.

Ordered mine direct with 11 Mode.

Same here, just did now.

14 days door to door, ordering direct from 11Mode. Installed in 5 minutes and programmed 'open' to Homelink button. Works perfectly. I love that there are no wires or modules to install, unlike the VSC-2 I installed, which didn't work anyways.

Anyone know the exhaust fuse location? Have the 11Mode controllers, don't want to bother opening them each time. Figure I can open them and pull the fuse so they stay open.

You should get the MAD valve controller since it has memory function.

Received yesterday, installed today. Nice upgrade….but damn, took me 30 minutes to get them plugged in….not a ton of room down there.

The MAD controller doesn’t allow 100% open?

You can wire the fuse in parallel with a rocket switch, stick it in glove box and can have memory function with 11mode controller. Turn the switch on (connecting the fuse), valves are in stock mode. Press open button on 11mode remote and turn switch off : valves fully opened.

I just received my 11mode valve controller. It says on the packaging label "BMW M3 (G80/G81) Exhaust Controller" - will this fit the G05 X5?

Got a DIY guide? I pulled fuse 203 for now, so they are open 100% of the time.

Pretty easy. Use a broken fuse, connect 2 wires to the legs of the fuse, make sure they dont touch to each other. Connect the other end of the wire to 1 leg of the good fuse that you took out. Connect wire to the other leg of its and go to the rocket switch. Connect the other wire from broken fuse to rocket switch also. Wrap the good fuse and tuck away. Plug that broken fuse back into the board.

Stick the rocket switch to glove box or convenient place you can reach to turn on / off along with your 11Mode remote.

With that setup in place. Now you can :

- Rocket switch turn on: fuse connected and you have stock vavle mode
- Preess 11mode remote to open vavle and turn the rocket switch off: fuse disconnected and Vavles fully opened and stay opened until you turn on rocket switch again.

The below illustrates the setup:

The controller (even with G80 designation) still works with G05.

My G05 has one valve so I have an extra controller.

Ordered my 11Mode controller for my M60 and GT3. Can't wait to install and hear how it sounds!

Anyone ever take a look at the control signal to the flap? I believe I read it was a PWM signal.

If one knew what the signal looks like, it would be trivial to do this with an Arduino. Would be nice to save a few hundred $ for some DIY

Just to clarify.. one should see some improvement in exhaust tone even if not in sport mode?

Have a 2023 m50i

Yup, it’s most noticeable during a cold start, but I can confirm there is an increase in overall exhaust sound even in comfort mode. I have an M60i.

Thanks friend....just placed the order after reading your reply. My impatience got the best of me and I chose express shipping lol.

I guess question regarding cold start...I thought the valves "reset" to default function after turning the car off. I assume then to get full cold start impact, you would need to set car to accessory mode, toggle the valve controller remote, and THEN push to start actual engine...? Sorry if I'm not wording that right.

I just turned on the car normally and opened the valve after that. I have the valve open function programmed to my home link buttons in rearview mirror, so it was just a matter of seconds. Haven’t tried opening it in accessory mode tbh.

Valves won't open unless engine is on. Which is why I opened them with with valve controller and then pulled the fuse and now they are open 100% of the time.
