...and the world is right again. Thanks for clarifying.
It must have been an early pre-production photo...it is a '56 Ford (except for its '55 V8 emblem).

Fun game! 1956 Chevy 210
Correct. But you already knew that! :)

Here's one from the '60s. I bit harder but doable. Try guessing first before doing "research". ;)

Hint: AMC

Yesterday I looked at '62 Grand Prix's, '69 Challengers, and even '68-'69 AMX's...then gave up. Just took another look at your post, saw your hint, and the light finally went on. A good stumper.
'69 Javelin

Good eye. You've got it.

I had a '68 Javelin back in the day. The grille said Javelin. In '69, AMC changed the grille to include that bullseye. A few minor changes on the interior too but otherwise the same car.

Not a Chrysler but it is a Mopar...and a year off of a '57.

Sure looks like a VW Bus to me. Don't know the year...

The exposed door hinge and the rubber rub strip on the bumper are tip offs that it's a first gen ('67 or earlier) VW bus. I had a '58 window-less...and a '71, and a '83 Vanagon.

It's a 1956 Dodge Custom Royal...the Plymouth and Desota photos were '56's too.

Thanks. I wasn't up on Mopar that much being a GM and Ford kid, but some of them were really stylish to me, others?, not so much.

I now know the answer. Very forward design for '56 given the "Big Two" didn't launch their fins until '57.

I'd love to see one in person. I'll be looking at future car shows.

Make is pretty easy. Year is a bit tougher. All the information necessary is in these photos, plus the added info that the car pictured has synchromesh first gear.

Chrysler"s head designer, Virgil Exner, started his "Forward Look" in '55. By '58 it was in full swing. Here's Plymouth's, Dodge's, Desoto's and Chrysler's 1958 taillight treatments.
