I'm a Nikon shooter myself. But again, can't the 1DX handle your bursts in the buffer? Just bought a bunch of Lexar 600x CF cards for my D4 ( 
) instead of the 1000x for that reason. Don't think I'd see a difference between the two card speeds.

Brought some of my kit to use at work so bought some replacements for the Moupe.
Maxpedition EDC pouch, Spyderco Hawkbill,and a Fenix E21. They go together with a pen, small pad of paper, insurance stuff, etc... I'll probably swap the Spyderco out for my Skeletool, though. That'd be more useful if ever needed. The Spyderco was more of me trying out cheap yet seemingly interesting/useful steel (Ka-Bar Warthog II (folder) and Fin (tanto) were the others).
