Hi ifr,

I checked all the values on my car with regards to PDC and only found this entry different then to the ones provided.

a_pdc_fp: nicht_aktiv [00]

Does this enables auto braking for front?

Thanks

Thanks ifr

I compared the codes and found below codes were different
ACSM5 -- [1B2D]
a_pdc: aktiv [01] -- Default : Initwert [00]
a_pdc_fp: aktiv [01] -- Default : Initwert [00]

HU_MGU -- [3E52]
ACTIVE_PDC: aktiv [01] -- Default : nicht aktiv [00]

After I made the changes, I do see the option in iDrive for "Active PDC with braking intervention" and I was able to activate through iDrive

Will have to test if this works as expected

Note : I did get some error messages on iDrive while coding, Parking Assistant malfunction, Driving assistance reduced
I was able to verify that the Automatic Parallel parking worked perfectly fine after the coding updates

Omg I want this ASAP! Let us know if it worked. I tried the feature in a MY20 and it was extremely reliable and sensitive, unlike the PDC beeps themselves that sometimes don't auto activate until you're uncomfortably close.

No problem. Suspect it will work fine.

Don't worry about the coding errors. Just temporary.

Not sure if anyone noticed or is still interested, but some peeps on the G20 forum figured out ambient lighting custom colors! It works via bimmercode expert mode within BDC. Got rid of the nasty mint green and made it true green, added a red pallet and did a blue and red M profile.

Well hot damn. I am oblivious. Regardless, I'm very excited and went straight from bed to the garage this morning to mess around. :)

Did this today also (my wife has backed into stuff in our garage twice now with minimal damage, apparently the camera and beepers are not enough), so hoping it actually works, I have the option now and can check it, but that just means the HU_MGU option is turned on, so need to find a really big box now to try to back into!

OK worked like a top in Reverse, hits the brakes about 8 inches from the box I was testing with, did it like 10 times worked everytime.

Forward, it just runs over the box, so a_pdc_fp active seems to not be enough assuming that means forward.

Glad it worked. I don't have forward emergency braking with PDC.

Not sure it's offered. Fp could mean flank protection.

For ref, if an option is available in idrive and grayed, it means it's only enabled in the interface (hu_mgu) and needs other codes in another ECU. If it's available and not gray, then it usually means it's fully active.

I realize now reading it in the HU when you check the box it specifically says while reversing, no mention of it when going forward, so not sure if it exists at all going forward.

Also I just replied to another thread on the same topic with a spreadsheet I put together to make this easier. Could not have figured it out with out the info LexxM3 has shared.

I looked at this thru my crusty morning eyes and thought it was awesome. I'll check it out on my laptop once I'm done with work. I did play around last night and make blue full 0000FF which looks better darker like that.

I wanted to automate it more and put more entry validation in it to avoid errors.. but I rode the struggle bus getting it to where it is... I am no coder or excel guru. Google gets me over the hurdles ;)

My 2020 m50i just completed the software update. Some of my prior coding was lost. Disable Legal warnings, Default start in Adaptive, keyfob close tailgate. Interestingly, I did not lose my Alpina dash.

I updated to the latest psdzdata. It connected. I could code
<cafd id="00007083" name="BDC_BODY3" author="jokinawa" series="S18A">
<!--3075 LceMaster-->

But not <cafd id="000044ED" name="BDC_BODY3" or <cafd id="00003E52" name="HU_MGU" It could not read the coding data.

Hi,

I just got a loan X6 and found this new setting under Activate PDC emergency interv.
iStep 11/2019.70

Has anyone got this?

"Latest" is not particularly specific. Which exact version of psdzdata did you try and which exact ISTEP is now in your car? Also ESysX or Launcher Pro and which version of either. Also which version of ESys. With that info, we may (or may not) have further ideas.

It's only available on MY2020 in countries that support it.

There are codes to enable on MY2019, but the checkbox cannot be enabled in idrive. I believe this is because the radar sensors in the flank, SRR (HRSNR and HRSNL) need to be coded to High_Performance type. When coded, these generate an unsupported hardware error in ISTA, and the system cannot be activated.

The two front sensors don't complain when configured as High_performance, I guess because these support the capability.

Guess you could replace the rear sensors if really required, but I would never use it. It's hard enough reversing out of the garage with the rear braking enabled, never mind flank as well!

Are you saying that MY19 doesn't support A_PDC at all or just A_PDC_FP for the flank option?

Just flank. Emergency braking on back is supported
